from the YCN book (showcase of new young design talent in the UK) I chose a brief for ASOS, to promote the online fashion store to men between 16-34. Heres what I came up with:

hand made nation documentary
Today while i was supposed to be doing my work, but instead getting majorly distracted, i found this website for a new documentary about the DIY contemporary arts and crafts movement. It looked like it was only out in the US so i thought i'd drop an email to the website to see if they might be releasing the documentary in the uk. I just checked my emails now and recieved a reply from the producer, faythe levine (who has aparently done design work for yeah yeah yeahs!)
"Hello thanks for the email! We are currently working on programing for the uk. Sign up for out mailing list to stay up to date!"
im deffo up for seeing this when it comes to the uk. fingers crossed.

marker pen.
yeahh i love my marker pen. he helped me do this beast on my wall (well, not directly on my wall, my landlord probably wouldnt like that very much). i dont do enough drawing. i herd that in america, before they go to uni to do illustration, they have to do a year of solid, self directed drawing. i wasted my foundation year. ill always regret that.

PHOTOGRAPHY.
so i got my photos back from jacobs yesterday, to be honest i dont think i pushed the shoot enough, i could have been alot more creative and i focused too much on creating something reminiscent of my inspiration, corinne day. most of the photos turned out pretty gash since i clearly do not know how to use a camera. anyways heres the final 4 im handing in for my portraiture project massive thanks to dea (first two), rosy (second two) and tanith.
